I can give you few suggestion for you to try this recipe.
You could use jaggery instead of sugar, since jaggery is used traditionally.
Before using it, you dissolve the jaggery in some water, drain it and use it.
You could use some fennel powder in this too.
Ingerdients: Plain flour (maida) 250g, Semolina (sooji) 4 tbsp, Sugar powder 1/2 cup, Baking soda 1/4 tsp, Oil 1/4 cup, Ghee (clearified butter) 1/4 cup, Egg 1, Milk 1 to 2 tbsp.
